“Be so busy loving your life you have no time for hate, regret or fear.”
What do you do & what inspires you to do it:
I’m an entertainer, I love to create art through acting, and dancing. I love the feeling of being able to escape and experience a different life through acting as I love change. I like a challenge and getting out of my comfort zone. The same goes for dancing, you get lost in the music and get to express what you are feeling through your body. I find it magical and therapeutic.
How do you define success:
My definition of success is creating your own happiness. No one has the ability to make you happy but yourself. I feel the happiest doing what I love. However, in order to achieve this, I had to stop being scared of failure and just go do it. I want to get old and be able to become a storyteller to my grandkids and say “wow, I can’t believe I did that”.
What would you say to motivate a younger you to be successful in life:
Don’t be scared of failure and go out there and do your thing! The only failure is not to try. The feeling of regret will haunt you more than failure. If you fail just get back up, change your strategy and try again. Failure can also open other doors that you didn’t even consider before.
So, go kill it and fail like a badass!
Are you doing now what you’ve always wanted to do or did you have other aspirations previously:
Yes, I am finally putting my focus on my acting, this is my year to show the world what this little Colombian is made out of. 😉 I’m also the best supply teacher in town. I’m a Biology high school teacher.
What’s the best business or personal advice you’ve ever received:
Give yourself time to grow by yourself. Travel solo this will help you see the world in a different way and will help you grow so much as a person. Happy travels!
What’s something people would be surprised to know about you:
I’m trilingual. I can write and speak fluently in Spanish, French, and English.
Do you believe in a higher power:
I believe in positive energy and being a good person. But I was raised Catholic.
What’s something you can’t live without:
Bananas, food is life. If I go more than 2 weeks without bananas my eye starts twitching because of my lack of potassium. It’s an addiction.
Where do you see yourself in 3 years:
Keeping the acting hustle alive, refining my craft and continuing to make a difference through teaching.
Single or taken:
How many tattoos do you have:
One! A little “R” on my wrist that I share with all of my cousins and it stands for my last name “Rubiano”. We all got it before I decided to go teach in England for the purpose of making us feel closer to each other wherever we are.
Name a Song you like and Artist:
Current obsession is “Without Me” by Halsey.
Name a movie you like:
I can’t name just ONE movie sorry. I love a lot of movies but my favorites tend to be with my favorite actors, Angelina Jolie and Leonardo Dicaprio.
What do you like to do for fun:
I love to travel, go on spontaneous adventures, take care of my dog, eat, sleep (love naps), love to scare people, be active and create memories with my family and friends.
Where can we find you online:
What’s next for you:
Continue doing what makes me happy, and finally planting some roots in Toronto, Canada where I plan to make my Latin/Hispanic “gente” proud!
